Black Padded Collar

Hand crafted, British made black leather padded dog collars for Home and Hound. A super smart leather dog collar, with a lovely soft leather padding by the neck.

This padded leather dog collar is made of premium bridal leather with a softer leather for padding. Adjustable with brass hardware and made in Britain for home and hound by a master saddler, it's strong and very stylish.

How to Measure

Replacing an old dog collar?

With the existing collar, lie it on a table or flat surface. Start the measurement at point A on the diagram above which is where the leather/material starts. Measure to the point/hole that is currently being used. Ideally measure in cm.

We personally think the ideal collar uses the middle of the 5 holes.

Our measurements are from start of the leather to the first hole. For example using the small size. The tightest hole is 28cm with approx1.5cm between holes. The middle hole sits around the 32cm mark.

No collar?

If you don't have a flexible measuring tape, you can use a length of string or twine. With the tape/string measure the dog's neck circumference. Make sure it is snug but not too tight. If using the tape method, make a note of the measurement and add 5cm.

Measure the piece of string/twine against a ruler and add 5cm to the final measurement.

The additional 5cm final measurement makes sure the collar is not too tight or loose. There should be space for two fingers to fit snugly between the collar and dog.
